The Zao Fox Village in Japan is probably one of the cutest places on the earth. Near the town of Shiroishi in the Miyagi prefecture in Japan, this is a village that has foxes running free. More than 100 foxes live free-range in a garden surrounded by nature. This Fox Village is one of the best places in Japan to see foxes. You can watch foxes without a fence in between. There are also a number of other animals like rabbits and baby goats to pet. Even though we call this place a village, It’s not an actual village, the place is more like a really large forest filled with foxes in an enclosed area.
The Zao Fox Village lets you sit and hold a baby fox and lets you get a picture with them, feed them and so on. You can’t feed them by hand, you should throw the food instead of feeding the foxes by hand. Don’t worry, There’s an staff to maintain this place. Once you arrived, they will explain the rules to you.
The village is open for visitors from 9:00 to 17:00, During the winter season between November 9th and March 19th, the village is open for visitors only from 9:00 to 16:00.
The entrance is 1000 yen per person, with children under 12 free. There are food bags available at the entrance for 100 yen.
