Dust storm covers Australian town in orange

Charleville is a town in Queensland, Australia. Recently, This town has been hit by a gust storm that covered the outback community in orange dust.

The storm swept through knocking down trees and causing minor damage to houses and signs in the town.

The town had received very little rain so far this year, just 5 to 10mm events.

Recent hot and dry weather had generated a large amount of dust in the area and winds gusts of up to 96 kilometres per hour caused the dust storm, said Harry Clark, from Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology.

Police said the storm lasted a few hours.

The scene prompted many residents to post photos and videos on social media.
